Sculptor and architect Maya Lin designed the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., at age 21. The 1995 Oscar-winning film for best feature documentary tells the gripping story behind the Vietnam Memorial and explores a decade of Lin's creative work revealing her ability to address major issues of our times through the healing power of art.
Presented by the Society of Architectural Historians/Southern California Chapter.
Award-winning director Freida Lee Mock will join us for the presentation and share her insights into Lin's life and career.
